Internet2 - MPLS CSPF Statistics

The MPLS CSPF (Constrained Shortest Path First) algorithm is similiar to a routing protocol. It determines the "best" way through an MPLS network from an ingress point to an exit point. Best is a relative term, of course. In some cases best may mean shortest, and in others it may mean the most under-utilized.

Not all of the backbone routers are configured for MPLS, hence the large number of "N/A"'s in the display.

For more information on MPLS the MPLS Resource Center has a great MPLS FAQ.
